Help spread the joy and healing power of Music

Collaborate with Us

Join the growing number of organizations and individuals working with us to host programs: Whether a one-off experience, or a Sing & Celebrate! to build up your community through singing - or if you have an idea for us to consider!

Partner with Us

We are growing our partnerships with a diverse community across Syracuse and beyond. Whether to create a program together, to donate to support our mission, or just to know that we care about our community and have shared values that support one another, we would love to hear from you!

Become a Leader

Want to lead a Singing Soulutions group? Our growth is dependent on training local singing leaders, singer/songwriters, music therapists, music teachers, etc. to lead / co-lead our programs. If you have a passion for our community to be filled with more singing, please reach out!

Volunteer

Making these groups run is not all songs and roses - but it is a lot of fun! And we have a growing number of ways you can be involved. We welcome any support you can offer to help our not for profit flourish!

‘Sing & Celebrate!’ blends the best of our 6-week ‘Activate!’ Program with a community goal-oriented focus. Over the course of our 12+ weeks together, we will explore the connections and find freedom within our Bodies, Breath, and Voices through a wide range of vocal exercises, song exploration, harmony building, and community feedback. What sets this program apart is our cumulative celebration: a flexible, community-oriented sharing of the music we have been working on, plus ample opportunity to showcase the human beings that make your community/organization special!
This program is largely customizable, from program duration to theme, and everything in between — reach out to us at: kath@singingsoulutions.org

An extended, adaptable program culminating in a community celebration

current offerings:

Neurodiverse Minds | Parkinson’s | Memory/ Nursing Care

We can bring a ‘taste’ of Singing Soulutions to you!

A one-off session serves as a healthy introduction to Singing Soulutions’ methodology. We will briefly touch all aspects of our extended 6-week ‘Activate!’ Program and send participants away with a handful of exercises to take with them. ‘Tasters’ can be arranged with an organization, or alternatively, a grassroots organization of a few likeminded people; we generally look for a group size of around 10 people.

Do you have suggestions for a new group?

“If you don’t see a group that fits your needs, we’d love to collaborate and create one! We have many ideas on new groups, and we need partners from those communities to work with us to get them up and running. We run groups at a regular venue, or we can come to your place!

If you have a group in mind, or a suggestion for ways we can grow and develop our offerings, please get in touch! kath@singingsoulutions.org

become a singing soulutions Leader

Here at Singing Soulutions we are committed to community and accessibility! We want to make the healing act of communal singing as wildly available as we can, which means we are always looking for fabulous new people to join our ever growing team!

Singing Soulutions is about moving, breathing, singing - it’s a singing movement!

  • If you have a passion for singing, believe that singing should be available for everyone to enjoy together, and are excited to welcome a range of people who are often excluded …

  • If you look for community and believe that we are better together and that singing can heal across our many divisions …

  • In particular, if you are from an underserved community and want to bring tools for healing there …

...then we would love to hear from you!

We are a movement

We are developing our training in a module-based approach, recognizing that in our community there are different levels of musical training and experience. Our training model will develop to also provide a 101, for those who have not yet had an opportunity to learn some of the basics of vocal health and song leading; we are committed to provide a ‘catch-up’ musical training, so that our singing leaders look like the city that we serve, and can be fully equipped to bring their gifts within a supported framework.

Please reach out to us to express your interest, ask any questions, or to request a conversation with the founder and director, Kath: kath@singingsoulutions.org

When you have completed the training you are ready to co-lead a session. We offer a stipend for each group program (total 6 or 12 weeks with ‘hum’-works set for participants).

Volunteer

We are continually growing our programming, and we are looking for volunteers in a number of areas.
As a young non-profit we need help with basic admin; fundraising; research to develop an effective evidence-based practice; marketing through social media and in creative ways to spread the word about our singing groups; and support to run the groups smoothly during our programs. Whatever your skillset, if you have some time to invest into our mission of more singing, we would LOVE to hear from you!
